Nominations to be made with the Trainers Service Centre (Vic), before 11.00 am on Monday, 25th August 2008. The Committee of the Australian Jockey Club reserve the right to decline any nomination and/or acceptance lodged with the Trainers Service Centre (TSC) from a licensed trainer with outstanding debts to the AJC from any Group or Listed race conducted by the AJC. The Committee reserves the right at acceptance time to reject the entries of horses from the following races, in excess of the number it considers appropriate or the number set down in the conditions of the race in the following manner:
SPRING CHAMPION STAKES
1. Horses which at the time of Final Acceptance have received the least amount of aggregate prizemoney, shall be the first rejected; this procedure will continue until the stipulated limit has been reached. Provided however that prizemoney acquired as follows will not be taken into account when assessing prizemoney for this clause:
(a) Prizemoney acquired by a horse(s) in any race restricted to horses sold at a particular sale or bred, trained or sold in a particular region or state and,
(b) Bonuses and/or incentives received by a horse in respect of any race. Horses on the same level of prizemoney will be balloted by lot. 2. Provided that the Committee may in its absolute discretion exclude any horse or horses from the above elimination clause, or reject the entry of any other horse or horses.
ARROWFIELD STUD EPSOM HANDICAP & THE METROPOLITAN
1. Maidens at the time of Acceptance.
2. Horses Three-Year-Olds which have not:- Received prizemoney of $30,000 or over for being placed 2nd or 3rd in any one flat race OR Won a race on the flat of the advertised value to the winner of $50,000 or over.
3. Horses will be rejected beginning with horses handicapped (including penalties) to carry the lowest weight. Ballot on the same handicap weight will be rejected according to their NSW domestic handicap rating. Horses with the lowest rating shall be the first rejected, this procedure will continue until the safety limit is reached.
4. Should a further ballot be required between horses with the same NSW rating figure then the ballot will be by age; beginning with older horse; with horses of the same age, the horse with the lowest aggregate prizemoney shall be eliminated first. Provided however, that prizemoney acquired as follows will not be taken into account when assessing prizemoney for any of these elimination clauses: (a) Prizemoney acquired by a horse(s) in any race restricted to horses sold at a particular sale or bred, trained or sold in a particular region or state and, (b) Bonuses and/or incentives received by a horse in respect of any race.
5. Provided that the Committee may in its absolute discretion exclude any horse or horses from the above elimination clauses, or reject the entry of any other horse or horses.
Entries for all of these races shall be subject to the Rules of Racing of Racing NSW and Race conditions published in the Racing Calendar for the time being in force; where there is any conflict the special conditions for all or any of the major races shall override the Racing NSW General Conditions. Declarations of Acceptance may be lodged at the Trainers Service Centre (VIC).
